Each facilitation guide provides a concise overview of the relevant academic research that informed the lesson’s design. Facilitation guides are broken into four parts:
Each lesson opens with an experiential activity to get students to consider the topic from an immediate and embodied perspective.
Students are then given the opportunity to explore the topic by writing down their ideas and views on paper.
Next, students share their ideas with others. A variety of partner, small group and class wide discussions are encouraged.
4. DEEPER DIVE
Each facilitation guide ends with optional take-home practices, additional activities, and relevant articles, books, videos, etc. meant to deepen students’ understanding of the topic.
